With the belief that music education is 'Better Early and Together,' Kindermusik by BEAT Studio took root in Wake Forest, NC 8 years ago. We soon grew to be a Kindermusik awarded Top Studio program building family relationships and connection using the power of music to support whole-child development. After relocating to Costa Mesa, BEAT Studio has begun offering classes in May 2025!
Owner and operator, Lisa Upchurch, is a graduate of NC State University and is a licensed, accredited Kindermusik educator. She brings to each class over 30 years of parenting five children (plus 1 grand:)) and over 10 years of teaching young children. After a lifetime in NC, Lisa and her husband, Lew, have recently relocated to Costa Mesa, CA to be closer to all the kids! Offering Kindermusik in Orange County, CA, Lisa is passionate about using music to nurture and teach the whole child-body, mind, and heart! More than just a teacher, Lisa forms lasting connections with the families she serves, taking a genuine interest in each child's growth and development. Her warm, personal approach has made her a cherished part of many families' early years-and many continue to stay in touch long after class ends. She loves to hear of all the former Kindermusik babes turned pianists, violinists, soccer or footballl players, actors, singers and even dancers & gymnasts. Kindermusik provides the foundation for ALL of these endeavors! For Lisa, it's not just about music. It's about building a joyful foundation for learning and lifelong friendships.
